Welcome to OLGA London

Welcome!

On-Line Gamers Anonymous is a twelve-step, self-help fellowship sharing our experience, strengths and hope to help each other recover and heal from the problems caused by excessive game playing, be it computer, video, console, or on-line games. Our community includes the recovering gamer and the family member, loved ones, friends, and concerned others. We all know how powerful, cunning, baffling and destructive excessive gaming can be, because we have seen it happen, with our own eyes. It can be devastating to the real-world lives of gamers, their relationships and those individuals close to them. Through the encouragement of open discussion, support, and referrals, we heal ourselves, by helping each other through this.

The London Chapter of On-Line Gamers Anonymous Meets at:

First Baptist Church
568 Richmond Street
London, ON N6A 3G1

The church is located at the corner of Richmond Street and Central Ave., adjacent to Victoria Park. Please do not contact the church office for meeting information. Enter on the east side of the building, near the Victoria Park bandshell. Ring the doorbell if the door is locked.

Contact: Brad 519.639.7912 or london.ontario@olganon.org

This is a safe place to talk about the impact of compulsive video game play. Are you the friend, family member or spouse of a gamer? Is your gamer not ready to attend a meeting? Please come! Our meeting format is open to gamers and their loved ones.

Effective March 25, regular meetings have been temporarily suspended due to low attendance.

What does this mean for the future of the London Chapter? Brad continues to be active in the community and is available for:

  • Informal, anonymous discussions via email or telephone of issues around gaming as they may be impacting you or someone you love. (Note that this should not be considered a substitute for an ongoing relationship with a professional counsellor, something that I am not).
  • Public speaking engagements
  • Media interviews
  • A quick resumption of face-to-face meetings as soon as more people are interested in getting together on a regular basis

Are we discouraged or surprised that attendance has been low/sporadic? No. This is part of a challenging growth process for a new face-to-face meeting, the only one of its kind for On-Line Gamers Anonymous.

Please stay in touch!
